Elisabeth spent her formative years in Germany. Her primary education emphasized proficiency in the arts and crafts at school and fostered by her mother.

In addition to scholarly degrees, she holds an MFA (Montclair State University, NJ), and a Certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration from NY Botanical Garden. Other influences shaping her aesthetic sensibilities are studies in China and Japan to gain insight into the unique esthetic values of Asian art. Additional experiences are research of garden architecture at Oxford University; as well as the rich history of Italian art in Florence.

She has been a member of Who’s Who of American Woman since 2006.

Elisabeth’s early expressions concentrated primarily on botanical art, which she continues to pursue as a sensitive expression of nature. However, her continued studies has furthered her talent that expresses her vision in contemporary art in various media.

She particularly likes mixed methods, including print, collage, and book art using a variety of materials to achieve unique results of her creative outlets.

Retired from an academic career, the artist continues her interests at the New York School of Art, Art Students League, and Center for Book Art, all in New York.

Elisabeth believes Nature offers not only elements of color and form, but constant inspiration during all seasons, then adds:

“Creating art has enriched my life and rewarded me with contentment.”
